Society for Forensic Toxicologists

About the Conference

The Richmond Planning Committee is excited to host SOFT's 40th Meeting!  Many of you have asked about the "theme" for this conference.  We believe that Richmond, Virginia is the ideal city for the meeting - and this celebration of our heritage.  We are a city rich with history and thick with southern tradition - and, therefore, appropriate for us as forensic toxicologists to contemplate where we have been and where we are going.

So, we will be paying tribute to our history - and most importantly, to the people who have exercised a vision of where we should go as a community.  So, we are encouraging people to bring their pictures and stories so that we can celebrate appropriately.

We encourage you and your company to also contribute to the celebration.  We are hoping that you take the time to assemble posters of your company's history that has been critical to the advancements in forensic toxicology to display in your booth.  If you are new to our community, we invite you to assemble a poster regarding where you believe your company can impact the community.  If you have photographs that you would like to share, please do so!

So, remember that 40 is the ruby anniversary!  Be creative, be contemplative, be fun!  I invite you to surprise us!  As always, we appreciate your generous support - clearly, one reason forensic toxicology has advanced is because you and your company have been forward thinking as well!
