Traveling Information
We have negotiationed with 4 hotels nearest to our meeting site. The Downtown Richmond Marriott is our main hotel, where meetings and workshops will be held. It is next to the Greater Richmond Convention Center, where the Scientific Sessions and Exhibitors' Functions are programmed. The Hilton is across the street from the meeting site, and the Crowne Plaza and Richmond Omni are nearby. A free hotel shuttle will be running between these 4 hotels to help all attendees to get easily to the meeting site and back. We encourage you to take advantage of these 4 spaces as they are really the best amongst Downtown Richmond's hotels.
Richmond's airport code is RIC. The airport is approximately 15 minutes from downtown Richmond and most hotels run a shuttle to and from. A taxi ride is approximately $30.
Another popular airport to fly into is Norfolk International (ORF). ORF is approximately an hour from downtown Richmond, and could be a good choice for you to either fly in or out of if you decide to spend some time in the Jamestown/Yorktown/Williamsburg area.

Hilton Garden Inn, Downtown Richmond - ROOM BLOCK FULL
The Hilton is across the street from the Marriott and the GRCC. It is newly renovated in the historic Miller and Rhoads Department Store. When you call to make your reservation, remember to mention SOFT to get the conference rate!

Omni Hotel Richmond
The Omni is located in Shockoe Slip, the cobble-stoned lined streets are home to conceivably the most historically important district in Richmond. Once the trading district filled with tobacco warehouses and offices, it is now one of the best restaurant/club/shopping districts in downtown.
